In 2017 it was elected top city in the world to visit by the famous guide Lonely Planet. Today, Bordeaux is an attractive city but most importantly, it’s an active one. 

Must-see: The reflecting pool, La Cité du Vin, the quays, The rue Sainte-Catherine and its many stores, the Chartrons, Saint Pierre and Saint Michel districts.

What to do in Bordeaux?

In the city, you’ll find many local farmers’ markets to go bargain hunting for good products. You can rest between tours and listen to independent music at one of the many cafés or concert halls of Bordeaux. Speaking of tours, there are a dozen museums in the city, which is the most extensive urban environment in the world to be recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can discover Bordeaux by foot with 17 listed itineraries, by bike with 100 mi (160 km) of lanes or by boat, for a different type of excursion.
