This lake has 8 supervised beaches, the eastern part is a Natura 2000 area and on the west side, you’ll discover the pretty village of Piqueyrot in Hourtin and the famous Bombannes estate in which the Wellness Sport Camping UCPA Carcans is located, a veritable oasis of nature at Carcans Maubuisson.

This pretty lakeside resort is ideal for families! The water is calm and turquoise blue, there are plenty of activities for children and everything is accessible by bike. You can try your hand at sailing, canoeing, stand-up paddling and pedalos. A popular spot for windsurfing, this is an XXL-size playground for beginners!

Take the lake path between the Bombannes estate and Carcans Maubuisson. It’s “THE” walk between lake and forest: the views are breathtaking!
